
Born in 1973 Japanese Violinist Ryotaro Ito started violin lessons at age of five. Studied at the Toho Gakuen School of music.
He studied under the late Toshiya Eto, Kazuki Sawa, Masafumi Hori, Gyorgy Pauk.
He won 1st prize in Music competition of Japan in 1989 and the 1st stradivarius competition in 1992.
In 1997 he founded string quartet Arco.
He became the concertmaster of the Sapporo symphony orchestra in 2005 (retired in March 2015)
He worked the concertmaster of NHK symphony orchestra(2015-2024).
He has performed as a soloist with many orchestras such as NHK symphony orchestra, Lausanne chamber orchestra,
Sapporo symphony orchestra, Tokyo symphony orchestra.
He is teaching as Guest professor of Showa University of music and Chief professor of Showa University of music Strings Academy.
Part time lecturer at Toho Gakuen School of music.
